Abigail founded Arts2Educate in 2016 after working as a Primary School teacher in London for 4 years and was music coordinator for 3 years. Abigail completed her PGCE with music in 2012. Before this, she received a 2.1 in Commercial Music Performance at Westminster University.
During her teaching career, Abigail completed an Autism Awareness Diploma and did Makaton Training. She has been awarded grade 8 in both flute and piano, grade 6 in singing and has completed her Gold Medal for Speech and Drama. As well as this Abigail has recently been awarded her Arts Award so is able to go into schools to deliver both Discover and Explore Awards for children. Abigail understands the challenges that teachers have in order to get all their children at the ‘correct’ level and higher by the end of the year. She understands that teachers so want to fit in art, music and drama but there is no time in their jam-packed schedule. Arts2Educate began because of this gap that needed to be filled. Since then, Arts2Educate has grown massively, not only going into schools but also delivering workshops at art centres, libraries, holiday clubs and even shopping centres. Arts2Educate feels passionate about introducing The Arts into as many children’s (and adults) lives as possible.
